Elizabeth had a relentless desire to live and a willingness to share her lung cancer journey so openly and honestly to help raise awareness about the disease in younger patients. She inspired the founders of the young lung cancer initiative to continue sharing stories of young-onset lung cancer in an effort to create visibility for this increasing patient population. These brave individuals and their journey with lung cancer lead to much of the funding and treatments we benefit from today! We are dedicated to cherishing the past, having an impact on the present, and seeking progress for the future of young lung cancer for patients and their families.

Lung cancer in young adults is a past, present, and future concern of many families who had no idea they could get lung cancer regardless of age or smoking history. The love, life, and legacy is still boldly present among the memories of so many whose trailblazing bravery led to treatments and donation dollars for lung cancer research we benefit from today.
