Spring 2026 Shared Moments, Lasting Memories Patient Giving Program

In Spring 2026, YLCI launched its Shared Moments, Lasting Memories Patient Giving Program, providing experience-based support to help young lung cancer patients create intentional, meaningful moments. This program was created in part in loving memory of Mike Scaglione, diagnosed with stage IV HER2 lung cancer at 45, who believed life is measured not in years, but in moments.

YLCI’s Virtual Summer Book Club

YLCI’s Virtual Summer Book Club brought young lung cancer patients and care partners together to read and discuss The End of My Life Is Killing Me by bestselling author and lung cancer patient Annabelle Gurwitch.

Kendra Scott Gives Back: In Loving Memory of Tiffany Job

In July 2026, A very dear friend of Tiffany's, Melissa, organized this two-day virtual Kendra Gives Back event in Tiffany's honor and chose YLCI as the organization to support. Twenty percent of purchases were donated to YLCI.

YLCI Back to School Gift Card Program

In July 2026, YLCI's Back to School Gift Card Program provided one-time gift card assistance to help ease the back-to-school costs for the children and families of young lung cancer patients.

Winter 2025 Patient Giving Program

In Winter 2025, YLCI launched a Patient Giving Program providing small, meaningful gift card support to young lung cancer patients in our community during the holiday season.

Together for 30

Together for 30 was an informal one-time virtual gathering for YLCI patients and their loved ones – a low-key, no-agenda space to simply show up and connect with others who get it.

Wonders and Worries Q&A

In partnership with Wonders & Worries, YLCI hosted a live Q&A on talking to children about a parent's lung cancer diagnosis, offering YLCI patients and caregivers a space to ask questions and get real guidance on one of the hardest conversations families face.

Twist Out Cancer

Virtual art therapy session just in time for Valentine's Day- a creative space for the young lung cancer community to practice a little self-care and connection.

The Jackie Banana Wanderfund Travel Grant Program in partnership with YLCI

This completed program provided $500 travel grants to qualifying young adults living with advanced-stage lung cancer. Grants were offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications are closed.
