BIANCA BYE, CO-FOUNDER & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Bianca is a therapist and advocate with a master’s in social work. After both of her parents were diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer, she began connecting with those impacted at a young age and co-founded the Young Lung Cancer Initiative to raise awareness and create community. Through YLCI, Bianca focuses on amplifying patient voices, sharing education, and changing perceptions of who can get lung cancer.

LEAH PHILLIPS, CO-FOUNDER & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Leah is a former educator from Louisville, Kentucky, with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky and a master’s in secondary education from Indiana University. After being diagnosed with stage IV EGFR-positive lung cancer, she turned her focus toward advocacy and awareness, helping others navigate a disease that is often misunderstood. As co-founder of the Young Lung Cancer Initiative, Leah shares her experiences with lung cancer, works to amplify patient voices and bring visibility to young people impacted by lung cancer.
