Elizabeth Campbell Moir
She was a beautiful wife and young mom dedicated to her family, her career, and lung cancer advocacy. Her witty sense of humor and larger than life personality was something that made everyone she met fall in love with her! She loved her husband, Michael, and her two precious girls more than anything!
Elizabeth was diagnosed with stage IV, ALK+ lung cancer at just 29 years old, shortly after the birth of her second daughter. Unfortunately, the cancer was relentless. With no more treatment options to help her keep living with the disease, Elizabeth sadly passed away shortly after her 32nd birthday.
Her authentic and ongoing efforts to share her story helped raise thousands of dollars for ALK + lung cancer research. She is greatly missed but will forever be remembered by those who knew her and loved her. Her legacy will live on in her two girls that have so much of their mom’s personality and beauty within them!
Elizabeth’s life, legacy, and her dedication to raising awareness about lung cancer in young adults was the inspiration for creating the Young Lung Cancer Patient Legacy Page.
A scholarship fund has been set up in Elizabeth’s name at her high school, Sacred Heart, in Louisville, Kentucky where was a star athlete on the girls’ basketball team.
